Floodplain Issues in Transportation Design Class |

| Details: |
ADWR and the State Standards Work Group will present training in the application of Floodplain Issues in Transportation Design. The 8-hour course will present background information with respect to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Arizona Department of Water Resources in floodplain management issues relative to transportation design. Participants will be taught the application of hydrologic and hydraulic methods in designing roadway crossings, as well as sediment/geomorphic parameters. Design guidelines, processes and illustrated examples will be provided. |

FEMA MT-2 Submittal Workshop |
|
| Details: |
The workshop will review Guidelines and Specifications for submittal of the FEMA MT-2 form for Flood Hazard Mapping Partners. The course will examine the submittal requirements, including unique submittal requirements for local regions, as well as commonly encountered errors and omissions. Workshop will be lead by reviewers from Michael Baker, Jr. Inc and Pima County who are regularly involved in technical review of the submittals.. |
